password manager? Do you use one?

Do you use one? If so, what?
I've been holding off for fucking ages of a password manager, not only because of the cost (i.e. annual fee, I'm Asian afterall), but because ... I don't seem to understand how it can (or if it is) seamless...
I currently use a Google doc to store my shit, with the passwords only 'hints' of what they really are, etc, but yeah, I re-use pws like crazy.
I thought about coming up with a 'simple' ghetto algorithm so it's easier to remember but also kinda 'unique', but gave up on it.
So, my latest try it DashLane...
I see there's a Chrome extension, and there's also an iOS (iPhone) app, but... it's not seamless...
i.e. there are some apps I use that aren't integrated (on mobile), so I gotta enter the username, switch to DashLane app, authenticate, scroll to the app/site name, click to copy the password to clipboard, then switch back to the app, paste it in .... FUCKING PAIN....
Whereas just typing in 'C1ub514lyf3!' is much easier

I just use post-it notes, and stick it on my monitor.
