When are you putting your summers on?

so i'm heading to new york on the weekend of april 7th, thought about slapping my 20's on and heading down. i've been fighting with this decision but i think i'm going to leave the winters on and roll because temps still arn't great for the summer tires, pot holes seem hetic this year so i don't want to risk killing a rim.
but i've been seeing people already rocking their summer wheels and tires, have you put yours on yet?

though 1010tires has $80 rebate on shipping anywhere in Canada for summer/all seasons. not sure how long the promo is.

I've got this slow leak going on with my front driver-side tire that's been going on for 2 years  (~2 psi/month...)
I'll head out with some soapy water in spray bottle and see where the fuck it's leaking... Hope it's a 'standard' puncture, and not near the rim, or the nub...

Just tried to do mine. Pointless. Neighbour offered her snowblower, I lol'd. Asked if she'd be able to get over the foot of solid ice at the end of her driveway, she said yup. Proceeded to back her Caravan up at full speed, scrape the underside and exhaust, and off she went to her kid's hockey practice. I spent 45 minutes chipping away at mine with the garden shovel. No way the BMW was getting over that the way she did.

Drop the kids off, no problems - a couple of folks in sedans were stuck turning in and out of unplowed side streets (not sure if these guys had snow tires to begin with).
WFH today - no way i'm taking the Go down today - my line always gets flooded with lots of rain. May not be able to make it home in a timely manner.

fucking skip the dishes or whatever canceled my take out order so I had to go get it last night. was lifting off good 4" thick slabs of ice off the car. this morning taking the kid to work almost got stuck on my un plowed street, the tire tracks with no snow gave me lots of grip but i was cringing like a mofo hearing the bottom of the car just scrape along the middle snow pile in the road. got home, got about half way up the driveway in reverse and got stuck (slight incline on the driveway). of course i can't get to my salt or metal shovel because it's in the back shed and the gate is frozen to all fuck, so i broke out the hose on the hot water line and sprayed infront and behind the tire and made it up. what a cluster fuck of a morning.

For once AWD was nice to have. I hate the system BMW uses but under regular use it works well. Never got stuck while my cleaning lady with the Mitsubishi RVR on winters was getting stuck. What kind of crap AWD are they using. Front and rear wheel with the least traction would just spin instead of transferring power to the wheels with traction.

^^ yeah mine is '13MY which is facelift inside and out model (B8.5), quite enjoy driving it. but man with the next gen. acura TLX due...may have to go back to japFanboism for that lol. mind you i wish they had the s4 avant or rs4 avant here in N/A...wtf. the S5 sedan/RS5 sedan (ie. baby rs7) for now are tits though.
i would love to try/own an m3 sedan or m5 one day but it'd have to be under warranty :P
the R is getting a very very nice makeover - should be done in 2wks or so.

then you haven't tried Dunlops lol, those are like "do i have a bad wheel bearing" loud. 
i don't mind the michelins for this type of car but yeah they are not as quiet as i thought (i think because they are the sportier level of mich.). i do like the equivalent conti though...not a pirelli fan.
mind you my first choice for tire is always bridgestone.

I have them on the 911 and they are quiet or is it because my car is loud AF LOLOLOLOL
Had them on the M3 as well and it wasn't loud, was running 275 square I think.

Plus temps all week...…..will wait another month for them to clean the streets and fill them potholes.
Last year around this time, there was an ice storm. Had to chip ice off the stairs to get to the wife hospital at 5AM when she went into labour.

Friggin eh, I changed mine Friday after work. Was such a nice day I did it quick when I got home. That's why it's snowing today folks. Blame me for today's wintery weather. Fml....and I have to drive to st cats tmr. At least my oem tires are 3 seasons and not summer only.

Wow you got that much that the plows came by?
My dad who lives in Toronto faces this often but last year was crazy. The plow ripped a good foot, completely fucked it up. Called the City to get them to fix it they said they would. It stayed like that for at least 5 months before my dad was sick of playing the back and forth game with them and fixed it himself. Yes he could have done that to begin with but he lives on a corner and so the damage spread all along his property.

also, if you wait it gives road works the chance to hopefully fill any dirty potholes around. noticed they filled a rim-killer on the 401E just past yorkdale today. if i hit that with a 20" with a rubber band for a tire the rim would have been done for sure.
