Not even 48 hours in and.....

Ugh it's too hot, I can't sleep, too uncomfortable.

Oh so my wife isn't the only one? She was complaining that we need to turn on the a/c cuz its too hot on the second floor. I informed her that the windows in all the rooms open in case she wasn't aware.

No A/C needed here yet, did get up to 26 inside with 45% humidity. Not bad.

Ran the furnace fan.

Arrgh... I feel your pain. The work parking lot is the worst. Covered by the end of day.

Out of curiosity, what exactly do you do? I presume your fan is always set to "auto". Do you keep it on "heat mode" (ie don't put it in "cool mode" which will trigger the a/c) but set the temp all the way down and then switch from auto fan to always on fan?

Re: Not even 48 hours in and.....

You should be able to control just the blower on the furnace. I know I can with my Nest.

Re: Not even 48 hours in and.....

Ya, you can keep it on heat, but just turn down the temp. So heat at 22C but fan on just means blower runs circulating air without kicking in the heat until it drops below 22C.

All thermostats should have a "fan" setting. That's all you do, Fan "on" and that's it. I have a nest and I run the fun during mid peak and then again after on peak times. Doesn't really do much in the way of dropping temps, but it helps control humidity and circulate the air.
