JFC http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on...rticle31589332/ With all the plants being relocated back to the US and Mexico, you'd think they'd know better. They remind me of the unions in the UK before Margaret Thatcher. |

You are clueless. |
Tell me what cars are planned for the Oshawa plant after 2019.... Yeah, didn't think so http://business.financialpost.com/news/t...hicle-breakdown Lulz bean counting pulse of labour in the auto industry... http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/carmaker...-gear-1.3108148 National post and CBC are both wrong, and risky must be right |
There have been no cars planned for Oshawa since 2015...you are still clueless though. |

funny that eh, one of the higher quality rated plants and no new cars planned. http://www.autonews.com/article/20160628...ks-unifor-chief Let me tell you about your industry , The auto industry has lost 53000 jobs since 2001 http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/au...finds-1.2932795 with Ontario losing 43,000 of those. Here's exactly my point Quote: In addition to higher labor costs than those of Mexico or the Southern U.S., Dziczek said two of Unifor’s biggest selling points -- advantages in health care and production -- have become weaker. Dziczek said a restructured U.S. health care plan with the UAW, in addition to a younger U.S. workforce, has reduced the Canadian health care advantage. “You need to have new investment and new product in order to continue production for a longer term, and we haven’t seen a lot of investment in Canada,” she said. This year’s negotiations follow those in 2012 by the Canadian Auto Workers, which in 2013 merged with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada to form Unifor. The CAW’s 2012 deals with the Detroit 3 contained no base wage increases, though they did include three $2,000 lump-sum cost-of-living payments. Workers at Canadian Detroit 3 plants have not received a raise in a decade. Dziczek said that although it’s possible Canadian auto workers could see a wage increase like their U.S. counterparts did in 2015, she cautioned that a raise could make the Canadian market even less attractive in the long run. Its like JACN crying about McD's workers in Toronto not being able to afford Toronto housing. If you've been inside a McD's recently, you'll see they are being replaced with automation, effectively outsourced |

You really need to re-read what you post, its intent and follow up responses because you are making less sense than c2k right now. |

I'm doing great! I'm not an auto worker though, that's the secret. I'm a boat builder, working in an automotive plant. |

https://www.thestar.com/business/2016/09...ghs-future.html Quote: Oshawa is a ground zero of sorts for the ongoing contract negotiations, which kicked off last month, between the Detroit Three automakers and its unionized workers. The plant, whose future is on the line, represents the struggle between the union’s desire to keep investment in Canada and efforts by the Detroit Three to move production to jurisdictions such as Mexico and the Southern U.S., where labour and power costs are lower So lets wait for Risky to tell us how this works again |

You are approximately 2 decades late with that info, but we appreciate the effort. Next on Wayne's news feed: how to prepare for Y2K!!!! |
Since we're all clueless... I'd like to see Risky try to explain what he knows that nobody else does. Please oh great one... enlighten us! |
Enlighten you on what? I can't be a translator to op's jibberish, I have no idea what point/if any he is trying to make that wasn't common knowledge for over a decade. Maybe you can enlighten me. |
Point is auto workers in Ontario are already overpaid compared to the US and Mexico, and here they are trying to negotiate for more still . GM may just close the plant completely. |
What is your point, you keep rehashing old news. Are you insinuating something? Are you confused not sure what to make of it? Are you looking for someone to blame? Are you trolling? Not clear, can't engage |
My point is clear, they are shooting themselves in the head asking for more money/benefits when they are already the highest paid. Let that shit fail. Not a big fan of using taxpayer money to subsidize salaries that are obviously unsustainable, but what do I know, the liberals are subsidizing a solar industry with tax payer dollars for jobs/tech that hasn't materialized. |
Your point is clear, so is your enormous lack of understanding. I thought c2k/euphoric were the expert blanked statement dirt peeps? Next up, teachers are overpaid scum? Cops should be dragged behind pick up trucks across the city. Kids in grade 1 are learning proper fellatio techniques because of wynne. Did i miss anything? |

calls people clueless and insinuates expert level knowledge without backing anything up. Calls others blanked statement dirt peops. Did you take this right out of c2k's playbook? |

I learned from you, don't offer any info since dirt peeps will try to "troll" so thank yourself for ruining this place for any sort of decent discussion: Wayne and Euphoric, not sure who is who tho |

Did you take this right out of c2k's playbook? I got to agree here. He still hasn't explained what we're all clueless about. I anyone's not making any sense here it's Risky. Canuck just parotted the exact comments i've been reading online from experts about the whole auto workers issue right now. I'm still waiting to hear what part about the auto workers issue we're so clueless about? |
