AC/ Furnace rebate

I got a couple of contractors working around the house saying I wouldn't pay anything if I upgrade the A/C and get $600 back.
But I would have to save $90 a month after the upgrade in order to qualify for this rebate/promotion.

I find that hard to believe.
I know the current A/C is old and probably inefficient, but the government will just give me a free A/C ($2,000 ?) then give $600 back?

Anyone familiar with this?

Re: AC/ Furnace rebate

So you get $250 incentive, but the contractor says it's free?

Re: AC/ Furnace rebate

Got damn these Ruskies are jokes.
Hired them to fix cracks and seal the driveway and back veranda.

https://homestars.com/companies/2888655-action-home-services
Called a dozen of places to find someone who can fix the cracks on concrete driveway. They were the only one who said they could.

When they came to give quote, I was a little skeptical when a young guy with Russian accent showed up with a Mexican.
Searched for reviews, didn't find anyone complaining, so gave it a go.

The Mexican guy came yesterday and did a fantastic job power washing the driveway and back area for 6 hours.

Today, the Russian guy came and started ruining stuff.

Sprayed sealer over the dirt that vase left behind. You can see the big chunk of dirt. Now there are two vase marks. One from original rust, and the new one they made beside it.

He power washed stones in the back yard and made a nice painting

and the cracks....WTF. 3 different colours that you could see from Google earth. Fucking powder and sand everywhere below the seal. No pic. will take tomorrow.

and didn't even fill the other cracks that was included with quote. Asked him why, and he said he never did and it's impossible to fix.

Re: AC/ Furnace rebate

oh ya, he was sealing the driveway with the cars in the garage still, and the garage door was fucking open.
I ran out and he said he forgot to tell me.

fuck I am still pissed.
Said it was a 3 day job.
1 day power wash, 2nd day crack filling, 3rd day sealing

1st day, took 6 hours to power wash. Did a good job. (Mexican guy)
2nd day, took 4 hours to fix the cracks and sealed it.
