Why is it better to owe?
outside of getting rrsp contribution related returns.

Why would you want to overpay the gov't throughout the year? Its your money, you should have it. better off in your own accounts or investments making some return or going towards your weekly blow spend.

Just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to finalize our returns, something is not adding up, can't figure it out.

Re: Tax time!

We will have a small refund left between the two of us. Even though we're net in the positive, I still have to send in a payment to cover my wife's amount owing and wait for my refund.

File yours ASAP, file hers on April 30.

Don't send a payment when you file hers, wait for them to send the assessment then pay it.

Hope your wife is saving money for paying taxes next year or she asked the gov to deduct more tax off her EI
