About to pull the trigger on new milk

Finally decided to pull the trigger, called the sales manager and got invoice price (according to unhaggle) + $500, -$1500 factory rebate and 0% interest. He took it right off the bat so I am kicking myself for not going in for invoice price only but whatever.

I am going in this evening to sign so is there anything i should be aware of before signing? I'm debating about adding winter tires from them, no out of pocket cost and would be 5 spoke alloy rims on 18" yokohamas but their price is crazy, simply tire has a 17" 10 spoke (that Allen said fits the brembos) for almost half. Wondering if the dealership can sway on price.

Anything to suggest they throw in?

Re: About to pull the trigger on new milk

The findway mats are decent, but I dont believe they make them for the car the o/p is getting.

If its the car Im thinking, get the OEM mats they offer. They are actually better then the WT mats I think.

I got for the winters from Allen too. I know a few guys running them. The Hyundai sets will prob be a better quality wheel, but expensive too.

I litterally just sold my winter wheels and mats too lol.

Re: About to pull the trigger on new milk

Checked Findway but nothing for the car, nothing for my Santa Fe either which bites.

Since every second post will ask what car, it is a 2015 Genesis coupe RSPEC (white) doesn't have the niceties of the GT (nav, sunroof, HID, powerseat, start button) but for $8k less, I can live without those, will look into aftermarket HID though.

Ah shit, I totally missed the "Hyundai" part in my post. Congrats though. The 3.8 R-Spec is a rare one and '15 is the only year they have been sold here. Ive never even seen one before lol.

The premium mats the dealers sell are great. Id get those lol.

They wanted crazy money for winter tires and wheels, grant it they were putting on stock 18" alloy but was still double that of Simply for their 17" with same rubber.

I wouldn't have a huge issue with a showroom car as long as it hasn't been beat up inside.

Nice. Those wheels are the stock 19" GT/RSpec wheels since 2013.

Persoanlly, Id skip the WT mats. The Hyundai Premium ones are much better.

Any plans? Ive got a list of basic mods that can really liven the car up without breaking the bank either.

Re: About to pull the trigger on new milk

Factory brake pads are junk. Id replace those with pretty much anything lol.

Company called ATQ from Waterloo makes a few real simple parts all in house.

Takes the shifter slop away.
http://atqauto.com/products.php?mid=1&cat=4

Takes the suspension slop away. These I was kinda skeptical on, but the cars feels totally different afterwords.
http://atqauto.com/products.php?mid=1&cat=17

They make a pretty nice short shifter too, but its kinda pricey.

Violet/Jay might have to confirm this, but Im 99% positive that the CDN cars dont come with the factory front camber bolts. Those are a nice addition too.

I had a CAI and catback on mine too, Injen and Solo Performance. The intake didnt rally do much, but the exhaust sounds great and frees up a few ponies.

I thought I read that the 2014 and up fixed the tranny issue so it wasn't as sloppy? Maybe I was thinking of something else.

Re: About to pull the trigger on new milk

Every year they did improvements to the tranny. Carbon syncros during the last few years for example. These new bushing are just much firmer then the stock rubber ones. Just makes the shifts tighter.

Tomi the guy that owns ATQ basically designed all these parts after buying similar parts from other companies that were made in Taiwan junk that didnt fit or function very well. His subframe collars for example are designed to only fit in certain spots on the car. The other brands were one size fits all in any location on the car.

Re: About to pull the trigger on new milk

The CDN cars don't come with the bolt for some stupid reason. Not really sure why.

The new Premium liners in the Coupe are really nice. Slightly spendy, but worth it IMO. If you want a set lmk. Slight trek out this way but I'll see what I can do for you.

The 15 shifter feel is definitely better than my 13, but you may want to swap the bushings after you put some km's on it. I haven't tried a 15 with decent mileage to see if they feel 'worn' but since it's the stock bushings I assume they will. My car just rolled 50k and the shifter still feels good, but not like new.

I haven't tried the collars yet but I have heard a lot of good reviews on them.

Exhaust is a good idea, and the Solo one sounded mega tits on Mikes car. And like Mike said, when it comes time get aftermarket pads. The Hyundai ones are ridiculous in price. Like horrible lol $320ish I think for just front pads. Yeah they're Brembos, but not worth that kind of money.

Any other questions just ask/pm dude.

Congrats! You'll love it.

Thanks guys. I did get the premium floor mats for the front. They definitely look good but I thought they would be deeper . Violent, may take you on your offer for rear rubber mats if you have them.

Got the car this afternoon and booted around a bit before going home for the kids. Ugh been many years since I had to deal with 401 gridlock in a manual.

I do miss the butter smooth tranny of acura/Honda but I am sure I will get used to this quick enough. Now I have to stop putting it in 6th to reverse \:D (dat honda conditioning, not used to it being by 1st) lol.
