A friend of mine just put his parked G35 on it. Not sure who he's with, but I'll check.

I had fire and theft this past winter with desjardins. If other companies don't offer FnF then they force you to have coverage year round like a motorcycle?

A friend had that problem last year; I called TDMM to confirm on the story; it was some sort of temporary glitch w/ the industry regulation (yeah, i agree on that as the BS part) -- it was rectified.

Had my S on fire and theft only last winter - no problems whatsoever.

So it is bs.. Both of the mentioned TD an desjardins are the ones telling me that the government has mandated it...

I becomes a "suspension" of policy..it's some sort of prorated amount...

Both my RBC and State Farm had it...< 20 bucks for fire and theft

I go on fire and theft any time I leave the car for more than 30 days. M3 was this over the winter, and part of April / May 2015. I'm with Intact.

What's the cost difference between fire/theft and suspending the account since it is pro-rated?

Interesting info. I switched the car to Hagerty and never looked back. Pay way less.

Re: insurance time again v. fire and theft only

I am with TD and no fire and theft here, I have to suspend the account. They don't offer fire and theft on cars that are "old" that's what I was told...

Re: insurance time again v. fire and theft only

all this sounds fishy... - but the great thing is that when we talk to the agent, its all "recorded"

i was told there was fire and theft in the beginning, i was told there was fire and theft from another agent -its time to request for it... it is for quality purposes ;\) -
