Forks of the credit

I only live 15-20min south so I've headed over a couple of times at night, never during the day. Today was the first and it Is fuuuuuucked up during the day!
The bikers are nuts, straight up crazy. The spots that they chose to pass slower cars where bonkers. And sooooo many of them.
1 Lancer in the ditch.
And the icing on the cake, 4 BMWs parked on an angle half blocking a lane after one of the blind corners to get pics all together!
I am just gonna drive it at night from now on.
To bad it's the only fun spot that's close.

Going on a weekend day.... during fall colours.... GNSP.

I still enjoy my occasional lunchtime runs through there during the week. Out and back in under an hour, with ice cream.

It's about an hour north of the city. It's a nice ride up there. Lots of switchbacks. It ends up around Lake Rosseau. I have a route if you're interested.

Yes Silver,

As much as I love the NSX in white, doing a complete colour change is not feasible and I do not want to shell out 8K+ in a complete in and out paintjob and even at 8K wont guarantee a 100% job. who knows I may pull the trigger when the time comes but for now... I'll stick with the factory silver.

besides... it doesnt look bad at all \:\)

Thanks!

not that meaty compared to other NSX's out there.. its pretty much standard sizing for most with 255/35R18 in the rear.. most NSX owners usually run wider in the rear.

as for whats done...

HSD Coilovers with F-10K and R-12K
Work Meister S1R
NeoMotorsport 6 Pot BBK
Taitec GT-008 JGTC Parallel Exit Exhaust
ProSpeed 300Cel Cats
RDX Injectors <== one of the best things that can be done to the NSX!
ARC Intake
ProSpeed Stage2 "tune" <== was part of the RDX injector upgrade

The rest are pretty much cosmetics refreshed the interior with Recaro's and stuff Pretty much went through a "clean up" to refresh and update the NSX a bit.

The silver one has a Wings West front lip.

The lip on my NSX is the Shine Type One lip which is a Replica of the I's Impact front lip

But currently I'm using the OEM 95+ front lip for my everyday driving.. or more like anytime when i take it out since the OEM lip can take a beating and is not as low compared to the Shine lip

DEAL!

would love to take your 348 for a quick spin!

To sum things up or my way of describing the feel of driving a NSX is like driving a ITR its gives you the Raw feeling of feedback, you feel connected as you are driving it yet can be comfortable at the same note.

Re: Forks of the credit

i dont think one is better, they are just different.
If i was buying one to drive everyday i would buy the NSX, parts are chepaer, better interior, less road/wind noise
But as second car i think i enjoy the 348 a bit better. I like that it's more involving to drive. I like the noises, the smells, it;s a bit more old school feeling. Which is funny becuase they are both the same age lol.
In the early 90s, i can see how the NSX made such a huge impact to the sports car world.

Neither of thrashed the others car becuase
1 - it's not my car lol
2 - i didnt want to hit anything (see number 1 as to why)
3 - after a fun first run the place was covered with OPP

Thanks guys!

My take on 348TB vs. Ferrari.

would be pretty much the same as what Rob said. Mind you that I did do some changes to the NSX to become a bit more "Modern" and updated a few things

IE:
-replaced the factory Leather seats ( after 23 leather was rock hard) with DC5 Recaro SR4 seats which is a delight! had them in my RSX and now in my NSX. Can drive for 5 hours strait without killing my back.
-refreshed the interior replaced all the old and worn out leather.
-updated the audio with Navi, bluetooth, speakers amps, sub all that jazz.
-exterior, Changed the rear end to the more updated 02+ with the tails and the rear valance.
-Full HSD coilovers valved F -10K R -12K which are mighty comfortable, Wifee approved

but all and all the car still gives the Raw feeling which what I love in a drivers car.

As for Robs 348

Love the raw no power steering feel, feedback of the drive is just right! Gated shiftier is defiantly superb in a direct feel of shifting, definitely more feedback than my NSX for sure.

But IMO 2 different animals NSX would defiantly be a daily summer driver and the Ferrari would be the weekend Sunday car for sure. Which my NSX was my Daily summer car until my Sportcross came along which now the NSX become just a weekend Sunday car.

Surprisingly not bad at all and its not too far off with the R spec Suspension which is 10K - 10K

Re: Forks of the credit

^That seems to be a common thing.

Spring rates have little bearing on ride quality. Shock stiction and high speed rebound and compression is what affects it. I also learned this when I had nice coilovers XD

Also keep in mind the NSX is double wishbone. so 10k/12k is probably more like 5k/6k at the wheel XD

oh ya for sure, with proper matching shocks and stiff springs, it;s no prob.

On my old orange hatch it ran somthing like 12k and 10k, and it wasnt terrible at all since it had properly matched shocks.

The 348 has factory coilovers, over the winter i'll drop it down a tiny bit and maybe get spacers for the rear.
Although i need new tires, so thats always an excuse for new rims \:D

Re: Forks of the credit

no it doesn't have a 3rd pedal, BUT it doesnt take much to convert any IS300 or Supra Tranny + ECU and 3rd pedal and lines and easily be changed, usually done within a day
