X5 day at the boat ramp

I ran into a fellow X5'er using his 35d to tow his boat this evening. (He had already walked it out)
He said he gets better mileage towing than his other vehicle normally does. (STFU Hatorade about the volt, same goes for you eddie with the Insight).

How do you launch the Lund?
With lots of love and magic. I was behind these 5 brown guys at Humber Bay last year, took them 20 mins to get their fucking boat out. I even offered to drive it up on the trailer for them, they looked at me like I was crazy.
As for our boat, everything gets undone except the bow strap (safety chain, trans saver, rear straps) boat goes in the water, I reach over from the front and undo the strap and off we go. Same goes for loading.. Trailer goes in until the rear rollers are wet, power up the trailer, leave the motor in forward so it's hitting the bump stop, attach strap, done. 20 seconds maybe.

Tow what? Fack, I remember doing a burn out one stoplight away from my house in the blue integra. I broke an axle. I walked home, got our Matrix XRS and tow strap and tried to tow it the 1/4 mile home. Nothing but stinky clutch, and that had more torque, better clutch than a civic
Torque, the civic has none, right now the X5 is over 500 lb.ft with the JBD. Ask Hatorade how his 335d would run like a scalded cat with the JBD

I was looking at equinox's (?!) the other day because wife is getting one through work, before this year, they had a towing capacity of 1500lbs. Its an SUV?!

Really? FYI moms rav 4 is the smaller one with the 4 banger. Thing is slow as it is. Tree series; I don't want to do anything that would make that pos break.
