The stupid Civic went from $1300 to $988, Volt $1500ish to $1049 and the M3 went from $1450 to $1340.

I was afraid to look at my renewal lol

Re: Damn Insurance...

Wow, that's pretty damn good.

I just put the S back on the road yesterday - the guy mentioned that when my renewal comes around (Aug.) - for all 3, it'd be about $4200 / yr. (that's about $1200 more than you)

What kind of coverage do you have? and what about your profile? (i.e. distance to work, annual mileage, etc.)

some of the insurance companies aren't on kanetix, just a FYI.

I'm with johnson insurance, and for me in a bramgladesh area code, Johnson insurance was cheaper than desjardins a couple years ago.

Re: Damn Insurance...

If I kept the M3 on the road year around I would be at $3600/yr. I'm taking the M off the road in October as well and that should save me $600. Can't believe summer is almost over already.

It's not even August, you've got 2 solid months of decent driving still.

Re: Damn Insurance...

Are you bundled with house and second car? I did a quote on a '12 S4 and it was 1450 or so for full coverage.

Toronto insurance is cheaper usually than 905.

Re: Damn Insurance...

dafack?

I'm using TD group insurance rates through meloche monex. The price decrease from my original broker is CRAZY (over 600 a year savings). This is also bundled with a 2nd car and the house. Despite that, I'm still not seeing these 1450 numbers @_@

That's a good rate.

My '13 S5 is 1800, as well as '13 M6 and '13 Cayenne. The value of the car doesn't seem like it makes a difference in premiums.
