LF: Trust-worthy iPhone repair place, NOT Faraz

iPhone5 recently took a massive shit and just shut off, and puked and died on me
...Bought new from Apple, out of warranty, never jailbroken, dropped, or pissed on...
I can't get it into DFU mode, and it just keeps looping on the bootup logo...
Random shady PacMall shop says $120 to replace motherboard...
Bringing into Apple Store will yield a replacement, which means my data is absolutely gone...

did apple store confirm this? ask them first.
ive used these guys a looong time ago to fix a screen, i was lazy to do it myself.

Bringing into Apple Store will yield a replacement, which means my data is absolutely gone... Why would your data be gone? iCloud backup? When I left my phone on WestJet, I bought a new one, restored from cloud and boom, its like I didn't even lose it.

Even with iCloud I still back mine up to my computer once a month or so. Unless O/P doesnt use the cloud.
