My dad has it. He uses it to change over winter rims. I personally think its a hastle to get out an extension cord. Drill and put the adapter on and then put everything away after.good old breaker bar and cross bar for me. |

For one car, I'll just use a wrench but if I'm doing more (I usually do 5 at once), I'll bust out the air tools. |

I just crack the nuts with bar and then use my drill. |

I will bet any money that using the crappy tire electric impact gun with retractable snap on cord (my setup at home) is faster, less hassle than any manual + cordless nonsense nikras need a proper setup, there is no clean up involved. Snap cord back and it retracts automatically, put impact gun in drawer, done. |
As soon as I get that retractable air hose it'll be: grab gun - pull hose down - swap tire - torque down lugs - done |

I have a corded impact wrench, but I've been doing it by hand. |
so you guys leave your air compressors filled all the time? It's no indy 500 for me, so saving 5 min is not a big deal when swapping tires. |

I have a retractable hose set up...just havent installed it. its still sitting in a box |
wtf i use hand tools. it's pretty fast as is and work on 1 side of the car at a time (swap 2 wheels per time). Takes a few mins to swap wheels. I do this often bc i need to rotate from track days. never yearned for any eletronic gismo. A long socket wrench with an articulating head allows you to rotate the thing like a crank so it's quite speedy. Saved $40 bucks from not buying that tool from Can tire. Allows me to put my E36 M3 on the road for 1 extra month in the year /risky |

I just picked up this bitch, a 19mm socket, and a 1/2" torque wrench... All this 1/4" vs 1/2" vs 3/8" socket size thing is fucking confusing/annoying... |
wtf is confusing about it? I just used mine last night thinking of this thread...I laughed at all the people doing it by hand I remember those days I timed myself with one wheel, at normal speed it took like 8 seconds to remove 5 lugs and wheel from car. If I was rushing I could probably do it under 5 seconds. |

not all of us can afford fancy tools. |

I used to do it. By hand. On the street. With emergency jack, and emergency tools. Did that for like 13 years... Took about an hour... fyi crappy tire hose reel on sale for $30. screw you euphoric |
went and bought the hose reel, while I was there I found the paint defender and decided to give it a try. pretty straight forward, mask, wax, spray, let it dry. it sprays on pretty thick, and since it's colder now when you spray it on it looks all orange peel, but when it dries it's nice and clear/flat. with the wax applied sprayed, did 4 coats. they say to do 3 but I wanted it extra thick (nohomo) but it didn't run. and after a couple hours, It was still kinda wet in the middle (that's what she said) and I put a finger print in it, but it should keep off that pitting that you get in winter. today it was nice and clear and flat. and it doesn't distort the HID cutoff. |
It's a spray? Is it removable? Why not go with a clear vinyl overlay? |
its a spray, and it is removable, just peels off. if this stuff was crap I was going to go with the clear vinyl, but this is a bit easier to apply, I can never get vinyl to lay flat without bubbles. I just want to pick up a touch up pen and then i'll do the grille, rest of the hood, a pillers and rest of the fenders. then with the oem bra I can say FU to winter. |

I did my mazda with only a few tiny bubbles only visible when really up close. it looks great. The mazda headlights are really bad for pitting/fading so I did it pretty much as soon as I got the car. Well after I did the retrofit, which was like a few weeks after I got the car. And I still apply a bit of wax to them before winter too so shit doesnt stick as easily |
