I'm back at the gym after about a year off. I weigh 241lbs, 6ft tall. I have a decent amount of muscle, but I'm covered in fat as I love to eat! I'm back at it hard, 3-4 days a week of cardio on those days. In addition, I'm using the Abs diet routine eating 5-6 small meals and lots of water. Here is my concern, I really don't want to get puffed up and muscular again. I'd much rather just be lean and thin and look good in suits and polos, etc. I'm not out for a huge cut look, six pack, etc. But I'd like to lose 40-50 lbs of fat and maybe some bulk. Should I just avoid the weights for now and just hit lots of cardio, stretches and crunches?

Hit the weights just keep them moderate and keep your rep range up around 10 or more. After a year layoff your muscles will atrophy a bit. You'll burn more calories in your cardio workouts and in daily activities if you weight train as well.

so high reps and lower weight? I usually do 10-12 reps of 20lb dumbells (rarely use the machines).
