a couple of crumpler messenger bags. One too big, the other too small.

I like them because there's no reasonable chance of dropping gear out of them unlike so many other kinds of bags (especially the one strap sling backpack style).

Lowepro backpack.

Hate it. Pain in the ass to get stuff in/out of it. It's so good, that they don't even make it anymore.

Lowepro AW302 slingbag (never had an issue with stuff falling out of it).Holds my camera with 100-400 mounted plus 4 more lenses and has a nice sized pouch for miscellany.

Crumpler 8(7?) million dollar home, which is pretty perfect for specific events (holds a couple bodies with big lenses on and ready to shoot, and at least one additional lens, as well as a flash or two).

And this: http://store.lowepro.com/fastpack-250

Which is great, but a little too small. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that either your backpack is going to be small and versatile and blend in well in society, or it's going to hold all the gear you want it to. I like the side access for walking around town and whatnot, but I need a bigger backpack for when I want to pack more gear (it's pretty tight in there).

One rule I go by is that whatever the specs say a bag fits, I always multiply by 2/3 or so, because they're maxing it out and nothing is ready to shoot, which is the opposite of how I carry my gear most of the time.

http://clikelite.com/product/backpacks/klettern/ Single camera and laptop travel bag

http://clikelite.com/product/backpacks/new-2014-contrejour-40/ burly hiking pack that actually fits me really well but is giant

http://clikelite.com/product/backpacks/escape/ holds a lot of gear but doesn't fit me as well

http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/speed-freak-v2.aspx usually holds an Einstein and a Vagabond

http://www.amazon.com/Calumet-Rc2065-Rolling-Camera-Case/dp/B003M5L2LG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top The gear locker for the most part.

A generic backpack insert that I put into a bright blue Dakine backpack.

2 of these http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Nan...14/product.html Worked really well when I had a smaller body. They're pretty low-key.

A giant Pelican for lights. A tiny pelican for chargers

A Tamrac shoulder bag that was given to me holds clamps and stuff.

Really really want one of these but they're awful about teasing us for a demo unit then disappearing http://fstopgear.com/news/2014-04/introducing-loka-ul

Have been teetering on getting one of these http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/shape-shifter-backpack.aspx

If I shoot a bike race or all day event kinda thing I think I want to get one of the Lowepro vests with the belt that hooks onto it and all the individual pouches that you piece together

Crumpler 7mdh - main bag to hold everything but hate it for traveling
Tamrac 3370 Aero - my newer travel bag for traveling light. thought it was bigger when I ordered it but it works.

I have a Lowepro bag that is ok but not great and rarely use it. I'm looking to get a bigger tamrac backpack that will be better suited for traveling. I need a place for a laptop/ipad, headphones, and a few handy things that the Crumpler just can't provide.

I have been meaning to get the 400 AW but the 300 holds about as much as I want to carry for an extended amount of time.

I've thought about the 400AW as well...

I love the 300 for day hiking. It carries my body, 3-4 lenses, some extra camera gear, a few water bottles, snacks, and a tripod exceptionally well.

I have used a Lowepro Fastpack 250 since 2010. It holds a lot of stuff, I like it, just haven't needed it a whole lot this year.

Pelican 1510.

Heavy as fuck, but I can hack it and I like being able to abuse it and know my gear is totally safe.

thanks everyone.

i went to the camera store to return my 70-200 f2.8 L that i rented and i looked at the lowepro 250. i like it but i wasn't sure that if i have the 70-200 attached to my t3i that it would fir inside the bag. they were selling the 250 and the 350 for the same price so i decided to go with the 350 since it was a little bigger
