Bought a new house a few weeks in the hwy 88 and 400 area with a 1.5 acre lot. Cant wait to get the garage build going How big depends entirely how things go tonight. it's offer night https://www.realtor.ca/Residential/Singl...gham-Wellington
We have had probably 50 people look at the house in the last 4 days, extremely hmmm nervous, I think is the word lol I have to say the housing market is nuts right now.
our realtor is our very own Type R boy, (Who has been awesome!!)

thanks!
It takes 45 min to get home now when I leave at 4pm, I did the drive from work at 5pm to the new place and it was 50min. So hopefully leaving at 4pm will be 40-45min as well.

Congrats dude...is that Bradford area 88/400?
Deets on new place, is there a home on it or are you building home/garage?
This is going to be awesome, make sure to make a thread on garage journal.
So the solar panels, I guess you are eating the cost of those or did they pay themselves off?

Good luck - might help that it's farther out but the market is crazy regardless

It's actually ruthless, like straight up.
My buddy's neighbour in markham listed his side split (1,600 sq. ft.) last Monday for 1,088,000
Then this Monday, they relisted it for 1,258,888
I don't know why, but that's now the new price (this isn't even Unionville aka holy grail).
If that sells for close to 1.3M, I am listing my fucking house and cashing out.

Ya pretty much, but I am on the other side, the town I fall into is Beeton
New place is about 2000 sq.ft, it's fine, but we only paid $595 for it (they where asking $618!). I just finished all kinds of renos lol I now I get to start again. Here is a pic
The solar panels I already paid off, so we are kinda factoring them into the price. I HATE giving up that contract but oh well. If for some crazy reason the highest bidder doesn't want the contact, I can keep the panels for myself, stick them on the yet to be built garage and apply for another contract.
I will defiantly post a garage build, I am trying to decide if I want to go steel building or wood.

Rob good kill man, awesome - need to make a visit out there, do some backroads driving - u could go work at HCM lol. man the land unf...so jealous! enjoy the reno and garage build, im sure it'll be great. be careful on that 88-89 stretch on 400 during winter, can get pretty insane. Risky - dafuq? that's getting a bit insane re. 1600 size place, even if sidesplit detached.
It's STUPID, this is in the milne park area, beautiful hood but still the house is a giant turd. I don't think it will get the new asking, they are getting cocky. If they do tho, I am out. Selling house and moving in rob's garage.
