Hey, do any of you guys have a good gas guy? Looking to run a NG line for a bbq.
Can it be tapped from the outside lines around the meter? If so then it would be a straight run, maybe 15 feet.
Any ideas on costs?
thx!

Yep, mine was run direct from the meter to the backyard.

Remember, all outside line has to be hard line. You can use flex inside the house. If your BBQ is far from the meter, might be cheap to run flex inside the house and only hard line to the BBQ once you're through the foundation. That's what I did.
I need to run a line for my BBQ at the new house, but I'll do it myself.

Haven't blown up anything yet Although I do get a buddy to do the lead pipe T's.. I just run/install the flex line with the compression fittings.

If you do decide to do it yourself make sure you do it the proper way and have it inspected AND tagged. Without the proper tag you really don't have a leg to stand on of you have an issue and you're trying to go through insurance.
Agreed, someone has to sign off on it.
Also most appliances will have tag on them with what size line they need (1/2, 5/8, etc etc)
