TheRealCSnapper TheRealCSnapper Post Master Supreme Registered: 12/05/02 Posts: 31955 Loc: Toronto, Canada	Did anyone get a thing in the mail from AMEX inviting you to go test drive a new BMW and get a $100GC from Apple/Holt Renfrew/Fairmont Hotel/Golf Town Read the fine print, all i have to do is book an appointment, quote the PIN they gave me, test drive and I'll get a free $100. No purchase of a vehicle necessary. this is pretty sweet, but i'm not in a market for a car since i just got one in the summer but i'd love a free $100 GC!! Now what should i test drive? The invite said shit like 7 series and M4 but i don't really need to blow my load and waste anyone's time so I'm thinking M235 or a 428 or something....

With the purchase of a car, they'll tack on another incentive worth approx $1000 like $1k to Holts, or set of Golf Clubs, or a BMW Cruiser Bike (human power, not motor), or B&O audio system, or 2 nights stays at any Fairmont with $400 to spend. If you buy a 6/7 or M, they kick it up even more.

xza8 xza8 Sr Member Registered: 12/18/09 Posts: 1065	amex sucks was a big spender on their $700 annual fee Platinum card for several years and they didn't protect me on a chargeback (luckily only a few grand) so i cancelled and will never, ever go back. they also nickel and dime like returns in foreign transactions incur an additional 2.5% (i.e., 5% in total). the td aeroplan infinite privilege is a good card, accepted everywhere
